Disbursement of Federal Hemp/Cannabis Revenue
Section 3: Industrial and Economic
Part F: Veterans Affairs
9% of Total Disbursement
Purpose: To ensure that families of Active Service Military are provided livable
and
sustainable funds;
A percentage of the total
revenues acquired from the taxation of Hemp/Cannabis
would be set aside with the intended goal of providing a base
of funds to financially assist the families of Active
Services Military
Personnel to ensure that such
families never have to resort to conventional welfare programs or 'pay day'
loans to pay their basic support expenses.
“You talk o' better food for us, an' schools, an' fires,
an' all:
We'll wait for extry rations if you treat us rational.
Don't mess about the cook-room slops, but prove it to our face
The Widow's Uniform is not the soldier-man's disgrace.”
We'll wait for extry rations if you treat us rational.
Don't mess about the cook-room slops, but prove it to our face
The Widow's Uniform is not the soldier-man's disgrace.”
~
Rudyard Kipling, “Tommy”
A Portion of the
Hemp/Cannabis Tax portioned for Veterans Affairs will be used to supplement the
monthly incomes of the families of Active Service Military Personnel. It has become a National Shame that, just to
provide for the basic daily living expenses of a household, Military Families
find they must resort to ‘conventional’ welfare programs such as Food Stamps or
to risk ‘predatory pay-day loans’. It is
the Duty of this Nation to ensure that the families of those who are actively
serving these United States in a military capacity do not have to resort to
such methods just to provide basic utilities, rent and proper nutrition. A system should be in place to guarantee that
such families are not unduly burdened while their family serves this Nation.
Purpose: To establish a program to assist Veterans who are
homeless;
A percentage of the total revenues acquired from the taxation of Hemp/Cannabis would be set
aside with the intended goal of establishing a 'rescue fund' to assist Veterans who are homeless.
“In 2006, approximately 195,827 veterans were
homeless on a given night—an increase of 0.8 percent from 194,254 in 2005. More
veterans experience homeless over the course of the year. We estimate that
336,627 were homeless in 2006.”
~ National Alliance to End
Homelessness
“If
you know where’s a veteran, sleeping under a bridge, you call me
immediately, and we will make sure that man does not do it.”
~Bill O’Reilly
A Portion of the Hemp/Cannabis Tax
portioned for Veterans Affairs will be used to develop means with which to
assist Homeless Veterans off the streets and integrate them into society with
honor and dignity. The fact that even
one Veteran of the United States Armed Services must spend a single night
sleeping on the streets is a National Shame.
Programs should be developed on a Federal, State and Local level to
ensure that this problem is rectified.
Suggestions should include the possibility of Veterans Communities
wherein free housing is provided within a framework of Community Service and
Fraternity for Veterans.
Purpose: To establish a fund to ensure Disabled Veterans are provided
a
livable pension;
A percentage of the total revenues acquired from the taxation of Hemp/Cannabis would be set
aside with the intended goal of establishing a pension fund to offer
compensatory assistance to Disabled Veterans.
"The willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in
any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional as to how they
perceive the Veterans of earlier wars were treated and appreciated by their
country."
~
George Washington
A Portion of the Hemp/Cannabis Tax
portioned for Veterans Affairs will be used to supplement Disabled Veterans
with a livable Pension as a means of National Recognition, Appreciation and
Compensation for their Sacrifice to the United States.
Purpose: To establish a "Fallen Soldier" fund to assist families
of fallen Service Personnel;
A percentage of the total revenues acquired from the taxation of Hemp/Cannabis would be set
aside with the intended goal of establishing a fund to partially compensate
and assist the immediate families of Military Personnel who perish in the service of the United States.
"Liberty is never
unalienable; it must be redeemed regularly with the blood of patriots or it
always vanishes. Of all the so-called natural human rights that have ever been
invented, liberty is the least to be cheap and is never free of cost."
~ Robert A.
Heinlein, Starship Troopers
A Portion of the
Hemp/Cannabis Tax portioned for Veterans Affairs will be used to establish a
fund with which to partially compensate and assist the families of Military
Personnel who perish in the service of the United States. To leave Spouses and Children bereft of
family members who have sacrificed to such degree for their nation destitute
and struggling under economic burdens associated with such loss is a Shame this
Nation should no longer bear. Be that
such assistance take the form of immediate financial assistance to the families
of ‘Fallen Heroes’, guaranteed scholarships, cancellation of debt or any other
form should be vigorously discussed and encouraged. It is our Duty.
